Tell me something Bill... I see you have the car sitting nicely on stands, but is that enough clearance to remove the motor from beneath the car? Or, will you have some other wise trick up your sleeve?
What have you decided about what to do with the motor? Crack it open and plan the next steps or what?

Bet he won't use the technique I used back in the day to pull the engine out of my 1964 VW Bug...unbolt and disconnect everything, place an old dismounted tire underneath engine, climb up on the rear bumper, grab the intake runners, jiggle around while pulling towards back of car, once loose let it drop down to tire and drag it out from underneath the car. After I "freshened" the engine I had to have a friend help me lift it back in place. Those were the days!
