Asking $42,000 for this nicely modded 2004 6-speed, black over natural brown coupe. The bad news - 112k miles. Located in Omaha, so in Wildbilly's neck of the woods. Pretty car with the natural brown interior. I would think that it is really a $35k or $36k car, but no doubt a ton of car there despite the mileage.

There are probably other things I am forgetting.

No 2nd gear pop-out, no grinding and no clutch issues. The transmission feels excellent and so does the clutch. Clutch setup has roughly 10,000 miles on it. Suspension is nice and tight, feels super good after the refresh and alignment. All PCCB rotors are in good shape and crack free. Pads were replaced by previous owner before I bought the car - plenty of life. No leaks or smoking. Typical 996TT oil consumption. Engine pulls strong and has a healthy oil analysis. Oil just changed and all fluids topped off. She is ready for the new owner. Exterior presents itself very well especially for being a 13-year-old black car. I had the hood and front bumper completely stripped and repainted due to rock chips over the years and added a AERO lip which was color matched. The deck lid is a MISHA unit and was poorly painted / prepped when done by previous owner so I had that stripped, re-enforced, and painted. Looks excellent now. All wheels are in good shape with not curb rash. Tires are new however the fronts are Toyo R888 and rears are Toyo R888R. I purchased the fronts a few months before the rears and once I was ready to buy rears the R888 were no longer available.

Exterior has a couple small dings that I planned to have my PDR guy take care of (still can). Interior is very clean and well preserved but the stitching is coming apart in a couple places on the seats. Previous owner failed to tell me about this before I drove up to buy the car, and I wasn't very happy about it. I was planning to have Classic 9 re-upholster both front seats with Alcantara centers over winter (was quoted $1850.00), and still will if the car does not sell.

Negatives :

-Sticker Gauge Faces On Instrument Cluster Bubbling (Common)
-Driver Seat Bolster Stitching Coming Apart
-Driver Seat Lower Stitching Coming Apart (Was Going To Have Re-Done This Winter)
-Some Wear On Shift Knob

I have a box full of random stock parts that come with the car if desired. No turbos, no clutch kit, no shifter. Stock wheel not available.

Very fun and incredible 996TT. Perfectly set up for a street car and I grin every time I drive the beast. Thinking of another project after winter so considering the sale of my favorite car. Blackstone oil analysis available upon request that was just completed. Drove it 2500 miles to North Carolina and back in May and the car performed wonderfully. Currently I drive it once a week and it sits in the garage under a car cover most of the time.

Vehicle sold with no warranty.

Beautiful car! I especially like the tans leather interior over the more common black or graphite grey. Seems like a lot of work was done on the car.

The only thing I would change would be the wheels. I prefer the stock turbros! ha!

Yeah, that natural brown interior was a really nice color. I have a buddy with that interior on a seal gray '05 996TTS. He always wins the 996TT category at our PCA car shows, the bastard.

One thing people keep talking about that I don't know if I agree with is the aero front spoiler with the GT2 wing. I've got the GT2 "add on" rear spoiler, which isn't quite as aggressive as this car's fixed position GT2 spoiler (with decklid) because it sits lower on the car when the rams are in the lowered position. Some people say that a 996TT with a GT2 spoiler doesn't look right without the aero front lip that this car has. But, I really don't like the aero front lip - it makes the car look "buck toothed" to me. I suppose it makes a difference at very high speeds to offset the downforce of the rear GT2 spoiler, but I rarely drive mine over 120 mph and I don't notice any front end lift at that speed. I prefer the look of the smaller front spoiler. Someday, I do want to paint all of the lower pieces (front spoiler, rocker panels and turbo exhaust outlet grill) in body color because that looks really good to me - seems to make the car looked lower and more "planted".

The general consensus over on Rennlist (dammit) in the 996TT forum is that this car is an absolute steal - it's underpriced by at least $10k and likely much more:

Granted, it's still going to cost you close to 6 figures, but GT2s have been trading in the mid-$100k range for a while now.

Here's the RL thread on it:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turbo-f ... -real.html

It's also discussed in the Ebay/Craigslist thread over there.

Based on current appreciation values of the GT2 and the "RUF" attraction, I'd agree. Agree in that it's worth the seller's price, especially if they're willing to come off a little more since the car was in an accident. This wouldn't be a 6 figure car IMHO because it has more than average mileage for an exclusive GT2 and with it's CarFax history and seven owners, it won't be the most attractive GT2 out there.

Alright, here's a really, crazy good deal for someone from a fellow Rennlister and 996outpost member, nelsontod. He is selling his high-mileage (174k miles) 996TT Tiptronic for $25k. If you search around here and Rennlist (dammit), you'll find a ton of info on the car as he has made a lot of posts since he bought it a few months ago. He paid more than that for the car, then spent a lot of time and $$ in fixing some minor issues. He got a good deal on the car. Getting it in its current condition for $25k is a steal (so much so that I'm tempted, but I'm right now in the middle of refinancing my office building, so no new cars for me). At $25k, it's a buy and flip kind of car. I think it should sell for about $28,000 in its current condition. It isn't perfect and it has high mileage and it is a tippy, but that's why the purchase price starts with a "2" and not a "4" or a "5" or nowadays we are seeing 996TTs even sell in the $60k range on a regular basis. I've seen salvage title cars on the Copart auction sell for this. The only thing wrong with this one is the miles, the tippy and you need to get the stereo going. Arctic silver over Metropol blue leather interior, which is very nice. Here's a link to his post today about dropping the price all the way down to $25k because he's got a bouncing baby 997TT arriving now:
