I have been helping the wife recover from hip replacement surgery and haven't had time to do much except play Nurse Ratchet. Haven't driven the P-car in almost two weeks. Today I needed to run an errand that was not time sensitive. I am tired and it is in the low 90's plus a mid 50's humidity. I think "take the P-car" then my tiredness says "don't you're too tired." I did anyway and it was the best decision I've made for a couple of weeks. Oil level was higher than last time I drove it, started right up, didn't smoke, didn't knock, didn't throw a code, got me there and back plus Eric Clapton "Bad Love" at volume level 28 full bass/mid/treble! All this and it put a ginormous smile on my face. I forget how much fun this car can be. Even if I end up with the Type R I'm going to have to keep P-car and lose the Zcar unless the wife doesn't mind two cars in the driveway. :P
Great story my friend! You have your priorities in line and was rewarded... nothing like jumping in these cars for a quick ride. I was sick today with a sinus infection, but it’s also been two weeks since I drove “black glue beauty” (hehehe) and took it for a quick one hour drive. Goooood medicine!

Yeah. Was tempted to post something in there just now, but since I haven't posted in the NA 996 forum since 2017, I'll just abstain. The NA 996 forum has survived just fine without me since then (and vice-versa).

I did note that my buddy extanker appears to have gotten the B3 treatment. Looks like his last post of record is from February 2018, and last activity was late March 2018. But, he is still showing as banned on Rennlist (dammit). So, he must've gotten the lifetime badge of honor. My guess is that he posted the words "Good Week" somewhere - a phrase so noxious over there that it requires immediate deletion from the record and explusion from the ranks.

Interesting that Rennlist(dammit) doesn't purge those who have been perm-banned from total existence. I swear I have seen the tag "perm-banned over there i.e.: the once infamous engine rebuilder. I still see old B3 posting and threads. If one is so heinous shouldn't they be "disappeared"?

Well, when they sent The Good Week thread to the Abyss, my post count dropped damn near in half.

It's like this...

I was invited on the July 4th to take the inaugural journey on my friend's new boat for his first fishing trip at Destin beach, Florida. Now, think about it... this is the 4th of July and every type of boat and jet sky on the planet was in the water. It was chaos! While trying to safely navigate through all the crazy traffic, out of nowhere comes the ocean police. We're like .. .What!!!???? We were the slowest boat on the water, but Noooooo.... the cops said we were creating white water, therefore, going too fast for the so called "idle speed zone". Upon stoping and roping us to their boat (guess they thought we might make a run for it?), they made us sit in the middle of the water (in front of thousands of people) while their ultra-bright blue LED strobe lights blinded everyone for 10 square miles. As the lead cop was explaining the law and attempting to humiliate my friend on his first journey at sea, the others enjoyed conducting a very slow and thorough equipment check. Talk about the white glove treatment. (more like the rubber glove treatment!!!) They looked over every square inch of the boat for equipment violations. They checked our fishing licenses, life jackets, air horn, emergency beacon, etc. in hopes they could add to the "idle speed" fine. You'd think we were mistaken for Mexican cartel! As we sat there for what seemed like an eternity, we watched many boats fly by at twice the speed, but they didn't even bother. Didn't bat an eye. Ugh! After they were exhausted when the search came up empty, they finally printed out a citation for $100 for exceeding idle speed limits. They then moved on to the next easy pray.

They made an example out of us even though there were worse offenders in the waters... plain and simple.

And, that's what RL is doing to me.

^^^ Another reason why I hate cops. Got a speeding ticket a couple months ago on the freeway. Was far from the fastest car in the traffic, and people were zooming by way faster than I was going. I believe he singled me out for driving Porsche.
