Porsche of Tyson's (VA) has a 99 manual cab with hard top for 19ish in the oh so lovely arena red with the meh grey interior. Interior looks decent for age and milage. Has the ruffled leather seat centers.

That is an early one! Aug 98. Funny they show it as a 1998? Wouldn't it really be a 99? Like my car built in July 04 but is model year 05.

No idea. Added the website link to my original post. They call it a 99 on the website, but don't mention/show the hard top. Apparently it was a one owner car too.

Seems to me that the inclusion of the hard top makes ~$19k a pretty decent deal.

I just don't like the grey interior nor that is a cab. Seems like around here when it is warm enough to drop the top, it is too warm to drop the top. However, the car does look good.

Yeah love the exterior color, but all I can say about the interior color is that it's better than the god awful beige.

I've never been a fan of convertibles in general (few don't look like an after thought from a coupe) and the 911s specifically have a huge bubble ass that I just don't find attractive at all.

There are those that like them, however, and to my eye this one appears worth a look for such a person.

I'll agree that the Savannah Beige isn't the best tone. For those who have a cabriolet, you know very well how black interiors can result in third degree burns to the back of your legs if you park with the top down. That alone is the reason I like it.

Love, love, love the Arena Red on this one.

my build date is 3/98. I need to get ahold of the actual card from the home office in Stuttgart, but my title says 1999.

In Europe the 996 started with the 1998 model year. In the US, 996's started in 99, even though the cars were built in 98.

I wish I could have justified a cab, they are a lot cheaper and I have never owned a convertible. But the added complexity, plus the weather here in NJ didn't seem to warrant it.

That's a Euro thing. There the year that the car is built in is the model year of the car. Far less confusing than every manufacturer having a slightly different MY schedule that is subject to periodically change based on their whims.

Hmm, nothing really notable about this ad - until I saw the note about the headlights and the screenshot of the supposed advert for the headlights. Do you suppose he really spent $6,059 on a set of aftermarket headlamps?
