Congrats KC. Is this like concourse similar to what Top Gear has shown?

I liked it more when I could use Archie to finger Veronica and wget her nudes.

Code: Select all

unzip ; strip ; touch ; grep ; finger ; mount ; fsck ; more ; yes ; umount ; sleep

For non-nerds:
Veronica: (Very Easy Rodent-Oriented Net-wide Index to Computerized Archives)
Archie: a front-end for downloading files via FTP. Archie is a play on words for "archive," not another Bazooka Joe reference. Archie was an early crawler that would index publicly available FTP sites. Archie was great for downloading shit from servers people forgot to secure.

This is stuff from the very beginning of the Interwebs...command-line tools for "browsing" before there was an HTML-driven Internet.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Hell. How many nerds today even know what "finger" does and when is the last time you ran it and actually got back useful information?

This lot also probably aren't aware that the rodent that Veronica is oriented towards was a Gopher.

Fed up with the A8L. I'm picking up something different at the auction either tomorrow or Wednesday, then the A8L is going through next week "no reserve." Looking at the inventory at the local Manheim. Much want here (2017 Panamera Turbo):

There's no auction price estimate. I wonder if it will sell below my self-imposed $20k limit?

That is a brand new Panny Turbo which has a starting price of $151k before you add options (and we all know about Porsche and options). What the hell happened to it that is already up for auction???? :o

What is that saying about insanity and doing same thing? Brand new mitsubishi mirage is below your self imposed limit, you should buy it. The money you save on that car, if invested in diversified income funds should be enough to buy you a nice used 991 in 10 years. 👍

That dead hooker was only in the trunk for six weeks.

In the summer.

In Texas.

In an impound lot.

But hey, they totally steam-cleaned the carpet back there. Just drive with the windows cracked for the first year or nine.
