Yeah the Mini always was an under rated little computer. Lots of power for such a small package. The car Mini was the original Core Solo model. I also have another newer model similar to your that ran my home server farm for a long time. Our IT guy assures me that we are the only people on the planet using a Mac Mini to run our asset server for the designers. So far using 22 of 48 TB available on our Pegasus servers. We have plans of retiring the trash can Pro's and upgrading the designers to iMac Pro's next year, so one of the trash cans will sadly replace the mini. (Has been kicking ass, tbh. It's our most stable server.)
And yes of course with a claim like that I have the receipts...
