Gnat is going to be jealous as it didn't take 10+ months to repair! Your initial guesstimate was darned close.

I was amazed that it took less than a month, especially since I have a pretty low-volume model (335i GT). But parts were in stock, even the new fender required. The cost of bodywork today is jaw dropping though...
