Show up unannounced and make sure it is locked!

Some dealers are worse than others in protecting your car from the lookey loos.

I'll do that. This operation seems pretty solid. The Asst Sales Manager that I dealt with is a friend of the divorced side of the wife's family. Her Ex-husband was an ASM there are one time. We are friends. This guy worked with him in the past. He knows all the step kids...etc. Still I'll sneak out there "just to sit in it again" and I'll let you know.

They are supposed to be pretty quick on a track. Let me know how it does.

I can't wait. A little concerned. He's in that elite group of motorcycle owners who owned a functioning motorcycle for less than 24 hours.....

At least you kept the shiny side up! That's a good job in my book. Any damage?
Prolly some dings down below, but nothing obvious or important. Haven't had a chance to inspect it in detail. The pic is just before the spin... car ended up facing the other way. Got a good rock chip on the hood. It's a bad track to have off- track excursions. The track is at the foothills of some mountains, so rain erodes the edges and forms big holes and drop-offs. At least I fared much better than my buddy's GT3, which had all wheel bolts on left rear shear off.

Like DT's track car, I'm sure someone was very proud to bring it home shiny new from the dealership, but now it's just a track slut to be abused.

Nice new wheels ya got... congrats!

So you fear he might have no fear or understand his own mortality? Could be a dangerous combination. Are you going to sit in the right hand seat?

So you spun it after you left the track. The pic makes it look like you just over-cooked the corner. On the GT3...that's going to be expensive. Thanks on the new car. Just wished I could get it home.

Yeah, I think he learned a lesson from it. He wasn't dumb enough to buy another motorcycle so there's that. He's my kids' karate instructor for the past 6 (holy shit, 6!) years and we've become pretty friendly. He could literally kill all of us in about 12 seconds if so inspired so I know he has the discipline necessary to be very very good so long as he understands what he doesn't know. He also got a ticket a few years ago for jumping off a bridge in Austin (this is apparently a thing) so he does have some risk taking tendencies.
