That's the screen shot of the video from half an hour ago. I will upload by the end of the week.

Guess which one is my daughter in this photo. This gives me a free pass to make all the jokes I want.

Neither. We all know that the proper way to post pictures of younger female family members is if they are in swimsuits!

Alternate answer: The one in white with the red "hair" as we know you collect cars, not kids.

I remember about a year after returning from our Desert Storm cruise (so that would make it 1992), it came out that one of the guys in our squadron wardroom (one of the officers) was gay. So, we had all spent a year living with him in close quarters and sharing group restrooms/shower facilities. Other than the guy who spread the gossip, the unanimous response by the other 40 of us was "Meh, who gives a sh!t?" It was a non-issue. Regarding Michael Sam, the gay football player from Mizzou (my alma mater) who came out of the closet in 2014 - my biggest surprise and disappointment was that it was even a story - his teammates and other NFL players certainly didn't seem to care. There's a young guy, early 20's, who attends most of the museum events. He came out of the closet on Facebook recently. Every single response was supportive. Maybe I'm wrong and there is a bunch of hate still for the gay/lesbian community. But, in 2018, I just don't think it's a verboten issue to make some lighthearted jokes. Obviously, jokes calling for harm to LGBT people are completely out of line, but I don't see that here. There will always be a few bigoted idiots on the fringe of society who are such failures in life that their only way of garnering attention or feeling important is to go off the deep end and be neo-Nazis. Again, not seeing that here.

Here's an article from 2017 discussing a gay joke that Stephen Colbert made about Putin & Trump:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/postever ... 522b8bdb82

The author, a gay man, opined that it was bad, but the overwhelming sentiment voiced by gay men in the comments discussion (scroll down to the end of the article) is that we all need to lighten up a bit and throttle back on the PC outrage. So, personally, I'll follow their lead on this topic. IMHO, the line not to cross is dehumanizing or calling for harm to another person. Is it OK to tell a joke about a priest, a rabbi and a Baptist minister? Sure. It is OK to tell a joke using the "N" word? Of course not, because that's dehumanizing. Where do we draw the line? That's a tough call, much like the Supreme Court's problem in Jacobellis v. Ohio in defining pornography. Their decision was, in essence: "I'll know it when I see it." I'm not trying to make rules here nor telling anyone what they can or cannot post, but simply asking that we do give it some thought when posting.

Oh, man...if only he'd shown up in Vegas in a Miata. The amount of shit-talking would have been epic.

RE: the gay stuff - I got more than my fair share when I drove a 986. You can either get worked up about it or have fun with it. Personally, I think I looked FABULOUS driving the Boxster in my Liz Taylor shades and contrasting scarf.
Kalashnikov wrote: Tue Apr 10, 2018 9:49 am Reactions didn't disappoint.

So my friend who some of you met was visiting me in AZ... And he got this as a rental. He didn't know what miata was, and didn't understand why I told him that we can't be seen rising in this car anywhere. He thought car looked like James Bond car..... I clarified it for him.

I used to be pretty gay and drove my s2000 with the top down. I went to Catholic gay conversion therapy and now I drive a 996. I would've gotten a 997, but the therapy was expensive.
