Apple chargers suck
Re: Apple chargers suck
Hah! I have a Mac Mini in my old 04 Escape. A quick search for my project pages don't show websites that I recognise. Sure appears to be a lot more info available now than 15 years ago.

I spent too many years trying to get "carputing" to work...should have just waited for phones to evolve. Embarrassingly, I rolled with THIS in my supercharged Tiburon for a year or two:

Oooook I hate one-upsmanship but you kinda forced my hand here with the mention of Mac Mini.
Our IT guy assures me that we are the only people on the planet using a Mac Mini to run our asset server for the designers. So far using 22 of 48 TB available on our Pegasus servers. We have plans of retiring the trash can Pro's and upgrading the designers to iMac Pro's next year, so one of the trash cans will sadly replace the mini. (Has been kicking ass, tbh. It's our most stable server.)
And yes of course with a claim like that I have the receipts...

Yeah the Mini always was an under rated little computer. Lots of power for such a small package. The car Mini was the original Core Solo model. I also have another newer model similar to your that ran my home server farm for a long time. Now they are both just collecting dust.Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 4:56 pmOooook I hate one-upsmanship but you kinda forced my hand here with the mention of Mac Mini.

If you think that is bad, you don't want to see my home network "room" or where the 3D printers are now living.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 6:03 pmGEEZ! When was the last time the Fire Marshall stopped by?Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 4:56 pm

We actually just moved into a new space within the building about a week ago and since I'm the boss I sure as hell aren't... Ah crap I was supposed to tell them to clean up.

I heard you tell them to clean up. You were very clear about it.Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:51 pm32wildbilly wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 6:03 pm GEEZ! When was the last time the Fire Marshall stopped by?

We moved into our new offices 2.5 years ago? I pulled fresh Cat6e and punched down new keystone jacks and installed new wall plates in every office...but in MY office, the door on my wall-mount relay cabinet is taped mostly shut with a bunch of cables hanging out the bottom. There may or may not be an access point hanging from a PoE cable from this same enclosure.
