Yeah, well I scored a unicorn Xbox Series X. My kid is going to lose his shit. Not that I don't use it, no never. Oh look, Assassin's Creed where you get to play a goddamn Viking.

Nothing like paying top dollar for hardware so you can be fully immersed in the experience of having some random thirteen-year-old mop the floor with you...
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Glad to be back at work - I need the rest. I spent one of the 4 days driving to central Oklahoma and back to meet my sister (halfway point between Dallas & KC) to pick up my Mom. Mom hasn't been doing well lately, and my other sister coming down with Covid last Wednesday (that sister's birthday, BTW), means Mom will be staying with us until December 17th.
Most of the rest of the time has been spent trying to finish our remodel that our contractor somewhat flaked on us (long story, not horrible but I finally told him "Don't worry about the rest, I'll take care of it."). So, setting 2 vessel sinks, standalone tub, wall shower and all associated plumbing, 60"x78" glass wall, bi-fold doors, other doors, blah, blah, blah. Working til 1:00 am or later every night. My Mom's new hobby is staring at me while I work, spouting truisms such as "You're a lawyer, why don't you hire a plumber?" and the like.
Her best comment so far has been when I was applying (poorly) plumber's tape to faucet threads.
She said "What's that?"
Me - "Plumber's tape."
Mom - "They should call it lawyer's tape. For lawyers who are too cheap to hire a plumber."
(oh BTW, my handyman tip of the day - always remember to apply plumber's tape clockwise, unless you are working with left hand threads)

Oh hell yeah. Me and my buddy try to play WarZone and we haven't won a game yet because A) Unlike everyone else, we are legal drinking age and B) We do not have teen reflexes anyway, besides the drinking.
If anyone's in the same boat as I am, I used the HotStock app, which allows you to set an alert for things you want. I got the alert that the Xbox was in stock at BestBuy, and have fast fingers I guess.

Teflon tape is like the goddamn cords on the blinds - you will ALWAYS do it wrong. Every time.

Sorry to read mom's not doing well but I'm happy to read she's well enough to take the piss out of you. You totally fell for the setup, btw. (Mama's hilarious...)

I am not a Vette fan, but the Stingray I like. That owner should be shot. Twice. In the balls.
Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
No, my Corvette doesn’t have a bitchin’ ram air intake. Dammit.
That intake is fine on a Stingray...but it should be sitting on top of a three-foot tall stack of bad decisions.
