Ya gotta be more specific about which state you're talking about: Illinois, Jersey, Florida, Cali . . . ?sweet victory wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:24 am I was born and raised there. Well, actually, I think Kansas is safe from that list, but I was going to put what I claim as my home state (where I grew up) of Missouri. Missouri definitely qualifies to be on that list.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:49 amKansas...I note you neglected to mention Kansas!FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:42 am

Oh, and BTW, now that the Chiefs have wrapped up home-field advantage in the AFC, you all can watch my Mizzou Tigers demolish the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 2:45 PM CST today in the Liberty Bowl. Should be a high-scoring game, assuming the forecast of rain doesn't screw things up. If it's dry, I'm predicting a 56-28 Mizzou beat down of Okie State.

And speaking of things that make you go "Huh?", Kalash is currently in first place in the holiday dress up contest with this outstanding effort:
So, you lazy bastards, go break out a string of lights or something, throw it on your car and snap a picture. Then post it here:
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=563
for a chance to win a saweet Kansas City Auto Museum t-shirt compliments of moi.
Now, I realize that of all of us, Kalash is the one who most desperately needs a free shirt. But still, have you no pride? OK, strike that, have you no holiday spirit? OK, strike that, too. How about this: Do you not like free stuff?

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
The largest debacle currently happening in the state is "The Rail." It went from a project with maybe half the state supporting it, to the entire state wanting to burn anyone who ever lobbied for it. The project is being managed by a dofus who basically lied on his resume and has never actually built a rial system before. (Only managed it) The original cost was to be $5.26b, and right now it's nearly a year behind schedule and will cost about $10b. The state has been increasing property taxes and artificially increasing people's home value. The island is small and my dad owns a large industrial facility; him and his buddies seem to be know a lot about the logistics debacle going on behind the scenes. My favorite one is that Hawaiian Electric has publicity stated critical concerns over the project like the improperly designed and built electrical infrastructure (they built the rail right next to power lines...) and that they still don't think they can power the rail.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:36 amSeriously? Right now the entire city prosecutors office the focus of an FBI corruption probe. Not much has been released yet, but quotes from investigators have been quiet alarming. Everyone from the city prosecutor to high ranking HPD officers are being investigated. The ex chief of police and his wife were indicted on federal charges and arrested earlier this year. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/3669 ... -a-victim/
While I was home, a guy named Bronson was wanted by the police for attempted murder; it was all over the news. He had shot his girlfriend and she lived. He has over 50 arrests and 22 prior convictions. The most alarming part...his 5 series BMW has a sticker on the back windshield that says "Murder 187".
