Until Gov. Newsom decides to bone me further, modifications AFTER the catalytic converters - such as my Fister mufflers - are not considered part of the emissions system.

However... when I reinstall my shitty high-flow cats after my smog check later this year... I will DEFINITELY not comply with CARB regulations.

gnat wrote: Thu Mar 31, 2022 9:56 am Speaking of, I was watching something yesterday and there was a reference to Human Centipede. Fuck you for making me know what they meant.
I was just talking to someone earlier this week about how I haven't watched that show since they introduced Mr Hanky.

I want to say it was this week's episode of Billions, but I've had a nasty cold this week and my brain is kinda muddled up on the order of recent events (so it might have been Tuesday rather than last night).

Dog's claws ruined the seat bottom cushion cover on the '14 Acadia. Found the part number for the bottom cushion cover, thinking I could find one online pretty reasonable. Cheapest I could find was $197 plus shipping & tax. For giggles, went to a local salvage yard's website. Found the entire freaking seat in like new condition for $60. I pick it up tomorrow. Good thing I have a dumpster at the museum for the old seat.

Now I just have to find some OEM rear and 3rd row floor mats to replace the ones she ate as a puppy. Yes, ate.

I'm getting misfire codes and a lack of patience with my A4. If new coils and plugs don't fix the problem I'm probably taking my cash I've saved up and going car shopping. My heart says used S63 AMG and my family says used Lexus GX460.

Yeah, Schnell.

The UGLIEST of the bunch.

I wanna take my boy off roading and I'm too soft for a Jeep.

Me either but my daily commute is 96% highway and the other 4% is the strip.

I have never owned an SUV but every time I rent one or borrow my dad's I think "wow how useful and practical" so my mind is starting to go that way because I have an awful lot of hobbies that the suv could lend itself to.

I'm also in an off-roading heaven. As easy or difficult as one desires to go. (Easy here.) So that is on my mind because I am one of those people who WILL do these things. That is why I live in the boonies so I have access to outdoors stuff.

Shit, take the tools you need with you. Might be able to get a few bucks from the yard if the rest of it is in good condition.

Wish 958 sport seats could be had for $60...

Not a bad idea as I assume there are only a few bolts to undo to swap the seats. Unfortunately, the salvage yard called this morning and said that when they went to pull the seat, it had a rip in the bottom cushion. So, they refunded my $$ and are looking around for another one.
