The City Museum in St. Louis is amazing. You need to get there with your kids in the next few years. It’s like nothing else I have been to. So much fun to climb around on all of the sculptures and metalwork and through the caves.

That drone pilot is WAY more skilled than I am. Flying FPV and not getting disoriented is fuggin' hard.
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I was figuring it was a programmed path given that some of those areas were too dark for a pilot to have seen where to go while keeping it so smooth.

The racing drone guys are amazing. If you want to feel old, watch a few of those videos on YouTube...
This one is mind-blowing.

Watching too much of that will make you toss your cookies. I can't imagine watching that live while actually flying the drone. Double cookie toss.
Never gonna make you cry...

At least my drone is old and slow - and it has a gimbaled camera mount, so I can look around without having to reorient the drone.
The racing drone cameras have a fixed point of view - so you have to be able to orient the drone in three dimensions to see what you want to see - and there's gravity, so any time you're looking down or up, the drone is trying to fall out of the sky at 32 feet per second per second.

...and if memory serves me you have experienced the 32 feet per second issue with a standard drone in the past.5chn3ll wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 11:59 am At least my drone is old and slow - and it has a gimbaled camera mount, so I can look around without having to reorient the drone.

You're not wrong. That was the day I learned to appreciate the pendulum rocket fallacy...

So my brother-in-law - who I learned a few months ago told his daughters that they could live with his newly-divorced wife instead of w/ him and his new baby-mama and their new "little brother" only if they agreed to try to convince her not to sue him for more child support that he can't POSSIBLY afford - is currently shopping around for a 5-year-old 911 Turbo.
What a dick.
