Yep; I've heard nothing but good things. Helped a friend do some work on his; if I remember correctly, nearly all the oem replacement parts he ordered had made in USA on it. A Japanese truck is the most American truck you can buy in 2018.

How's the frame holding up on icy roads? Do you use a Fluid Film or any other coatings?

Wash it a couple times a year, frame is like new with it being fluid filmed every couple years. A little rust snowing on the roof where my old man put some clearance lights in and did not paint the holes after. Had one axle break from getting stuck with the v-plow on it and thrashing to get it out. It actually broke the cv into little tiny bits.

Only other real issue had been two faulty steering racks when it was under warranty in the early years. Would blow the seals out of the ends of the rack. Oil changes every 10k and plugs every 50k miles, did all drivetrain fluids at 50k/100k. Overall a stout truck with 500hp/550tq. Thus the other GMC work truck will be getting replaced with a Tundra.

One thing I know is he was "ambushed" at a Cars and Coffee in Georgia by a person who shall remain nameless at this time. Other than that???

Also, how are your renters from hell? I decided to not renew my rennlist membership.

hahaha... I'm the dude, but I don't remember ever telling Raby about the Outpost. Maybe I did? I do remember a couple of 996 guys coming up while he was around and I started talking about the Outpost and invited them to join up. One did eventually join us - Machu009. ;)

Last week this place was just a circle jerk of rennlist expats.

Now we're a circle jerk of rennlist expats with a renn meister. 8-)

Awesome feedback; I appreciate it! I think a 2018/19 4runner in calvary blue is at the top of my list. If it weren't for the fact I lived in LA, I think the Tundra would be a no brainier for me.
