Alpha Rodeo is a great car. C&D had Guilliano Quadrafallaparto for a LT test this year. Over 12-mo period car spent 13 weeks in the shop I think. They said this was one of the most unreliable cars they had.

Yeah - that long-term review would keep me from considering one - but I wasn't gonna crap on his parade.

I'm about 1% jealous that he has an Alfa and I never have had one - but my Fiero has to be worth partial credit as the closest thing to an Italian car we have made since the Gremlin/Pacer era.

A Giulia has a great exhaust note (I've seen more than a few go by me lately), but as others have said: maintenance nightmares. Car and Driver I think had a couple articles about their long term test and all the issues. Issues like the car wash causing CELs.

So many good cars out there these days in the same space as a Giulia without all the hassles. Especially for a car that doesn't look all that exotic.

Hmm, I wonder if a Stelvio would make a good, reliable winter car with easy resale next spring? 8-)

I will re-watch the TG Alpha Challenge episode to remind myself of exemplary Alfa craftsmanship and stellar reliability. You can never be a true museum curator if you never owned an Alfa.

My business partner picked up a brand new Giullia last Thursday afternoon...yesterday, someone backed into his driver door in a parking lot.
He has much more to worry about than a dent in the door.

A friend of mine recently bought one and it was hard not to start crying over his loss as he showed me the car. At least I talked him out of buying the new Fiat 124. I tried to steer him towards the Miata but he apparently got sidetracked,

He leased it. If you're itching to drive a totally unreliable Italian sportsish car, you can get one for less than $300 a month.
