You can see the walkway in front of her where you are only a few feet and get an excellent view into the cockpit (and then you realize how painful that flight must have been!). It's hard to make out, but you can see the frame for the protective glass wall that is there now. If you know where to look you can still find the dent where the asshat's paint jar hit it

The March museum also has some MIGs on display. A lot of the collection is outside and you can get really close and touch them

I think the A&S has a Mig in their Vietnam era section, but it's been too long. It's the Corsair, SR, Shuttle, Enola, Concord, and F4 I go to be awed by.

Ooohhh...the F4 "World's Leading Distributor of MiG Parts" and "the triumph of thrust over aerodynamics." Back in the 80's the Nebraska Air Guard flew F4's and when two or three of them took off to the south over the shop I worked in rattled all the windows in the place. It was awesome! One powerful "Brick".

In middle school shop class we did model rockets once. I hot glued a jacketed .45 slug into the end of the motor and then glued it to a F4 model. Amazing that the teacher let me "fly". Turned out it was as aerodynamic as the real thing. Amazingly for all the spinning on the ground it did, no one was hurt and the bullet didn't hit anyone or anything (yay for cow fields).

My first real job was an aircraft parts supplier (yes $5k hammers were a real thing). Shortly before leaving the owner had bought an ex F4 frame to scrounge parts from and verify things. I had a blast crawling all over that thing to pull parts.
