National Weather Service said you guys hit 117f at one point on 6-16-21!

That's Fookin' hot! HOT! DAMN HOT!

I wonder how many hands got burned from car door handles?

32wildbilly wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 7:48 am Yes it is but Lost Wages is in a desert so I can understand that. We are not in a desert here and projected to hit 106 today after 102 yesterday, so I don't get it. My tomato plants are happy but keep asking for more water.

This heat seems to be early this year. I wonder why...

Yeah 115 is only not normal for us in June. That's normally a late-July maybe early-August game for us. 106 in Nebraska (in June no less,) is going to have a big effect.

You had to work to get that. $52k for that one is just plain insanity. Nice color, but that's still nuts!

Hope y'all have a wonderful Father's Day weekend. When you have a minute, jump over to YouTube and watch this video on Steve Mitchell and his son Matt. I had the honor of interviewing Matt a couple of months ago.

Thx. Going horseback riding with all three of my daughters on Sunday.

Here's the BAT link for that car. Fun to read the comments. Start with the oldest first.

I'm beginning to think those of you in the desert Southwest may have a valid complaint about the warm weather...

Well, proving that car isn’t an outlier, take a look at this one:

$52,996 for a ‘99 black aero kit car with 36k miles. I really wish I hadn’t sold my black ‘99 aero kit car for $15,750.

Went out to KS Speedway yesterday to do an exotic car drive that my staff bought me for Christmas with Xtreme Xperience.

Thankfully it was only 100 degrees yesterday . But they had plenty of ice water, some shade and a good breeze with low humidity. So, not horrible.

Was scheduled to drive a McLaren 570S, but it went tits up. So, they offered either a 488 or a Huracan. I chose the 488. So did everybody else, apparently. After waiting for over an hour in line, I still had 7 people ahead of me. So, rather than wait another hour, I took the C8 Z51.

Nice ride, but it could not keep up with the 488 ahead of me on the straights. Despite the backup for the 488, the event was well organized overall.

Well it now appears that Phoenix is now just a black smudge on the floor of the desert. Too bad it was a nice place to visit November to March.
