Great suggestion. It only has been...6 years since the last one.

In other news, I went over 70k miles the track-rat POS Turbro over the weekend. I know I'm gonna jinx myself, but 7 1/2 years and 22,000 miles, the biggest repair has been replacing the wastegate actuators at a cost of about $400, and replacing one of the front calipers with a used one because I buggered up a bleed valve. I did swap out the OEM hydraulic spoiler rams for electric ones because they were malfunctioning when I bought it, and that was about $1,600. Other than that, just oil changes, tires, a new set of wheels for summer.
Hell, I'd take that maintenance record on a Honda.

My "wrong" Aerokit II 996 is at ~106K miles...bought it at about 30K miles for $30K. I think I could sell it for what I paid for it 10+ years ago...not bad for a non-Mezger, ragged-out POS.

Also, I think that's spelled "break caliber."

The low maintenance on her 996 for it's first 12 years and 60k was a big part of me getting my P!g. I think the serpentine belt was the only non consumable thing we replaced in all that time.
The next 10 years haven't been as good, but I blame that almost entirely of only putting another 10k or so on it in that time
I really do think the secret to these cars (once you get them to a good state) is to just drive them.
In the 10 years I've had the P!g so far, consumables is all that it's needed as well.
