Was at the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade and rally yesterday. It was a great time . . . until it wasn't.

Actually, the event was over and a lot of people (including me) had left the rally area before the shooting occurred. I didn't know anything about it until about 20 minutes after it happened when my phone started blowing up. I'd say 80 percent of the attendees learned about the shooting from the news or family checking on them. It was a huge crowd - I wouldn't be surprised if there were 1 million people there.

I know you'll all be glad to know that when I turned 60 a couple of weeks ago, I treated myself to some new office chairs.

Glad you're OK. What a shitty way to end a fantastic event for a city.

I like the new chairs (but I'll delete this later and deny saying it). I dig the steampunk/Pagani vibe.

You were the first person I thought of when I heard about incident. Glad you are ok.

Not a political statement just a personal opinion: Too many guns available to too many people who should not have them...

Frunky -- like others have said, I'm glad you and those you care about were not physically injured. Hopefully the mental trauma I imagine many have suffered will heal quickly.

I look forward to meeting you, Doc and anyone else joining us at Outrun 2024 in person.
