GOD it feels good to be not-the-guy-not-getting-the-joke!

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I use one of these in my VW's that live outside. Seems to work quite well. Plugs into the cigarette lighter, which is always live on the VW, and I believe it's always live on the 996 too.

Do you have a picky wife that actually owns the car and doesn't want random wires running around or to have to disconnect something before starting the car? ;)

Besides, why do something when you can over do it? (assuming you get off your ass at all...)

If unplugging something from the cig lighter and tossing a solar panel on the floorboard is picky to her then she is picky! You just want to over-design and install some Rube Goldberg deal don't you?

The ride in my 996 is currently AWFUL because the relay case I surface-mounted under the subwoofer deck to ensure that the extra 6 USB outlets, two 12V sockets, and AC inverter are only powered when the ignition switch is "on" is loose and is rattling against the plywood.

What was the question again?

Ignore the lose wires hanging under the 958's dash. Most shouldn't electrocute you...

February in the Midwest: 57 and sunny last week - 7 degrees and snow today. Plus just this afternoon I saw a fleet of city snow plow trucks, each with a maxed-out load of salt, headed out to spread the rust-inducing stuff far and wide.

SO: I cranked up the garage heater and started the Leatherique routine on the seats of the 996. Plenty of time to work on the interior now. :geek:

I'm also contemplating some muffler mods, if I can find someone locally to do it. Shipping them out to FD Motorsports is a little pricey, albeit worth it, but if I can get the welding done locally, so much the better.
