In all serious here - My weekend project is to get a quality video put together comparing the two. Will use same location, camera, and mic setup. Fingers crossed we aren't slammed with a tropical storm in the next couple days....sweet victory wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 11:44 amDid you film it? I'm on the fence if I want to fist my baby. You can see my old setup here:

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
I'm no expert by any sense of the imagination, however, I think the car sounds good. My concern is I have heard those much smarter than me in relationship to the internals of these engines caution about not free-reving these engines. Something about rods or rod bearings or something similar not enjoying the high rev unloaded activity. I would be careful doing that...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
Add the fact my engine is 15 years old I wont disagree with you there. Recording that video was definitely the hardest i've revved the car. What most people seem to care about is on-load sound so that's what I'll spend my time recording. Thanks for the tip!32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 1:45 pm caution about not free-reving these engines. Yeah pictures of 23 and how it mounts. Had a thought that it might look really good added to the GT2 wing/decklid.

Wait, I'm no expert but, I don't think feet are involved in "fisting"...
