Dang! I didn't know you could buy tennis shoes in five gallon buckets. That's a lot of shoes.

For making a mess of KC's garage, I grant you 1 "Get out of ban free*" card.Einsteiger wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 5:52 pm It seemed like a good idea at the time. I had gathered all the materials for the big oil change and LN Spin-On Filter Adapter install. Jeff [FRUNKenstein] kindly offered the use of a lift in his garage to work on the car – an offer not to be refused. Despite banging my head on the lift, motor, etc. a few times and sloshing a lot more oil around than I had intended, we got the job done. The LN filter adapter was easy to install and should make future filter changes a little less messy. Not shown in the photo below is the FilterMag that went on the new spin-on filter.
* Only redeemable in person with 6 month written notice and not for use in response to actual banning.

If you have an AGM battery, it can be really tricky to get it to charge if you let it get really low. Do a Google search on charging a nearly depleted AGM battery.DTMiller wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 2:52 pmI was smart enough to throw the trickle charger on it right after I unhooked it from the miata and after a period of flashing red (meaning not charging) it is now a solid red (charging) and hopefully in a day or so it will be green which we all know means go.
If my driveway didn't have a decent slope up to the garage I'd push the 911 out and hoook up the armada but it's nose into the garage with the Miata on jackstands next to it and the jumper cables won't reach from the Armada battery (passenger front right) to the 911 battery unless I put the wheels on the miata and move it out and I'm lazy so here we are. If I did push it out and can't get it started it's enough of a slope that getting it back into the garage would be a bear.

. I’ll have you all know that the hanging bicycle was not harmed nor sprayed with oil during this process. That’s about the only thing, though. Thanks again for the use of the lift!

Could you not use the jump points in the engine bay of the 996?DTMiller wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 2:52 pm If my driveway didn't have a decent slope up to the garage I'd push the 911 out and hoook up the armada but it's nose into the garage with the Miata on jackstands next to it and the jumper cables won't reach from the Armada battery (passenger front right) to the 911 battery unless I put the wheels on the miata and move it out and I'm lazy so here we are. Well crap. We've had the damn thing for almost 20 years and I never knew those existed. I can think of a few jumps in that time that would have been soooo much easier had I know that...justinp wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 1:36 pmCould you not use the jump points in the engine bay of the 996?DTMiller wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 2:52 pm If my driveway didn't have a decent slope up to the garage I'd push the 911 out and hoook up the armada but it's nose into the garage with the Miata on jackstands next to it and the jumper cables won't reach from the Armada battery (passenger front right) to the 911 battery unless I put the wheels on the miata and move it out and I'm lazy so here we are. Guess who hasn't completely read the owner's manual...

SO tempted to delete his post using my awesome mod powers so I don't feel as dumb as I do right now.
