I've got road rash on all four wheels I think. We have fancy schmancy pavers for curbs, and it wrecks the hell out of wheels. $250, I wish I could get away with that.

$250 for two wheels is decent. The 996 looks fantastic.

Looks like a fun drive. I take Angeles Crest up from the 210 a lot and looking for another route to explore. Your drive sounds like fun. Do you go all the way to Mt. Baldy or do you turn around afterwhile? CHP lurking? Bikes? I may go check it out b/c Angeles Crest is still closed. Thanks!!

You need to get there before 8AM to avoid most of the cyclists. I haven't been all the way to Mt. Baldy. Typically no CHP till it after splits at Glendora Ridge Road. They do like to hang around the San Gabriel where you can pick up some speed.

I gave it the privilege of a paid peon car wash. Short dark skinned people, sweating under their bandanas and straw hats, scurrying around the car and wiping up the drops of water, cleaning inside the windows, splashing Armor All on the tires. (When I do this I always wear something that makes them think I'm a Democrat.) Then driving home, listening to "Sing Sing Sing" from the 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert from 1938. As Mel Brooks once said, "It is good to be the king." Tomorrow I'll wash it myself in religious Penance for my sins.

The only tip I gave them was a tip of my Biden/Harris hat. Then I wiped the bottom of my shoes on them before getting in the car. Today I've decided not to do Penance for my sins but instead watch the auctions on BaT. A very nice C4 like mine is up and I want to see what it goes for.
