Plus, the guy's a poser - has the spoiler deployed when the car isn't even moving.

That may just be a "gnat thing" as opposed to an "all 24 yr old guys thing."

LN 2 qt kit. Applying the sealant to the windage tray is a little bit of guess work. Recommend test fit to gauge how close to the edge sealant should be applied. Hopefully I got it sealed up.

When I did mine (1/2 qt), I got a batch of M6 bolts, nuts, and washers. I bought a new used pan (was like $40 on eBay) and bolted the spacer to it. Kinda OCD, but it gave me a good idea what too much sealant looked like. I ended up getting the spacer and pan bonded up OK, installed the new baffle, let the sealant cure for a couple days, then installed it all on the car. Still used more sealant than I should’ve ... when they say 1mm bead, they mean it.

I recall seeing a video of JR (I think) smearing a thin layer with his pinky, vs a bead. ??

This is how he taught us to do it in the M9X 102 class. When we applied it I thought for sure we didn't put enough on, but after we tightened the fasteners, it was squeezing out pretty abundantly. That Drei Bond stuff is the epitome of "a little dab will do ya."

In retrospect, I should have used the smear method (and have used that method many times). That would have helped eliminate not knowing exactly where the interface between the block and windage tray is. Also, got a little snaggy due to there being four layers of parts lining up (OE pan, spacer, gasket, windage tray, plus two sealing surfaces). The screw holes weren't a perfect alignment and made it a little tricky to get screws threading up easily while holding the pan with one hand (and or my knee). Hopefully I won't see a drip after I fill this evening. Did I mention I torqued the LN magnetic drain plug to 37ft-lbs (OE spec) instead of 19ft-lbs (LN spec)..doh! It didn't strip luckily..
Did the center radiator, water pump, 160* tstat, and coolant resevoir (found a leak in it while I was doing water pump) last weekend.
Should be ready for Utah Motorsports Complex this weekend!
