So, let's see some workbench pics and hear some stories. I'll go first. Here's my workbench as it sat yesterday. No staging, no puffing, I was just walking by and became thoroughly disgusted at how freaking bad I am about buying parts and then not doing the repairs.

Among the projects:

A new LED 3rd brake light to go with my new LED taillights. I installed the taillights in October 2015. The 3rd brakelight is still in its little, long skinny box behind the big boxes on the left.

A used glovebox for the '73 914 that I bought last June.

Rear pads & rotors for the 928. The brake pad wear light was on when I bought the car back in September of 2014. So, you know, no hurry.

I'm not even sure what's in the other boxes.

I do see two items that just need to go in the shitcan - the OEM head unit for max$wag's '06 Cayenne S that we replaced over Christmas (I guess we didn't throw it away because we thought the next owner might want a 16 year old stereo that doesn't work); and a Pep Boys aftermarket air filter for the X1/9 (I went back to the OEM setup with factory parts). I'm sure that air filter set the prior owner back at least $10 bucks, so yeah, better not throw that POS away.

So, let's see what you guys got . . .

Yes I got it in boxes and crates. Just like one of those plastic models. I think I have all the parts. Don't you hate it when your model's missing something and you've got to write them for a replacement? There are a lot more parts in more boxes in other places too.
It's been hanging out here since September.

9) A roll of 3-stage filter medium for my koi pond poo filter.
10) Underwater plaster repair compound...which really needs to go on the bottom of my pool, but it's like 60 degrees in there currently. Eff that.
11) 4 or 5 half-built Arduino/RPII projects that kinda work but haven't actually been finished
12) Half-built electric-start conversion for my $50 second-hand Harbor Freight Predator generator
13) New carburetor kit, still in box, for my Ryobi gas chainsaw-on-a-stick
14) Escort hard-wire kit for the radar detector that's been in my wife's Jeeps - with the cigarette lighter adapter - for 5+ years
15) Awesome LED-illuminated skull-shaped power switch to replace the old Radio Shack switch for the line locks in the Corvette
16) A half-used sack of green sand (for sand casting) - most of which I improperly used to soak up leaks from the Corvette and 996.

This is just the stuff that's close to the top of the heap. When I get around to putting the tools away, I'll find the rest of the stuff I've already forgotten about.
