Anybody know how to remove the overhead console?
About 2 years ago, my daughter pushed my sunroof button up into the overhead console. Except for my exquisite Alcantara headliner, I believe that your plebian M96 powered cars have the same setup. Anybody know how to remove the overhead console so I can snap the sunroof button back in?

Plebeian? See here peasant, if you had real class not only would the roof liner be leather, but the console cover would be covered in leather too. Speak not to me of your low class Alcantara.
As to the rest, I have no sunroof to have a button of which to be pushed in, so I got nothing useful which is about all you should expect from me.

Alcantara! I got a Honda Civic full of Alcantara! Special?...NO.
On a let's help Frunk note. I swear I read somewhere about how to take that piece off. Let me think for a few.

Short version: carefully pry off the two useless oval discs to get to the screws. Wrap a tiny flathead screwdriver with painter's tape or use a plastic spudger so you don't further clap out your Turbro.
Or just drive a drywall screw into each disc and yank 'em out with pliers. Whatever.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

There it is! I quit going to Pelican after they got bought out, but I knew I had seen that somewhere.
Wayne would not approve of your alternative method.

Oh I have the same issue. You're probably going to find that one of the retaining clips has snapped off. Mine has been held "temporarily" with a little bit of tape for 3 years.

My Indy JB Welded my sunroof switch back in place when I had it in for a new clutch. Love those Black Forest guys.
“Cust states sunroof switch is pooched. Can glue it back together for free, or I can order a shitload of $$ worth of parts. Pls advise.”

Re: Anybody know how to remove the overhead console?
Thanks for the Pelican link. I now have the same problem with the wayward switch. My 996 has the full monty leather interior, so I'll be sure to wear white gloves while performing any repair attempt.
