It turns out that standing on the roof and firing a number of 20-gauge slugs down into the area where the overhead console is located will also cause it to be removed.
On an unrelated note, does anyone know of a good bail bondsman in San Diego?

King Stalhman died back in 2009, and I've had a pretty good run since then...so my "get me out of jail" game is a bit rusty.

True this. After all there was the "issue" with the neighbor shaving his palm trees on his newly detailed Precious. My guess is that might have led to a bail bondsman call.
