Ok Ok Ok! I got off my pity pot and realized I was being stupid. Gonna repair the 996 with the UAOS and drive the dog poo out of it. If my Indi ever gets back to me.
Thanks for the rational suggestions and laughs.

This is the place to do it. A lot of guys call the car thing "love" but it's really passion. And passion runs hot so we tend to get burnt!
If your mechanic won't do it let's see if we can "Crowdfund" someone to fly me to Lincoln and I'll do it for you

There have been days when I look at the ENORMOUS FUCKING MOUND of parts waiting to be installed on my workbench...after picking flecks of dark gray blend door foam out of my hair...especially after driving at night, which STILL causes ABS/PSM to shit the bed...when I've considered selling it - but it's small, it's light, it's relatively simple, and there's still nothing wrong with it I can't fix myself.

Throw it on the workbench so it’s there when you get a few minutes to pop it in there right quick.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:03 pm Lookie what the UPS person brought me today from LN-E!

Re: Somebody talk me down off the edge...
Heck I'm old and no longer have the flexibility nor patience to do this install. Besides I have a lifetime defect that every time I open an engine compartment lid my knuckles start bleeding. On a project like this it would be not only the hands but the forearms as well. I'm also pretty sure with this install I would drop several bolts into the cylinder head intakes never to be recovered...FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 7:29 pmThrow it on the workbench so it’s there when you get a few minutes to pop it in there right quick.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:03 pm Lookie what the UPS person brought me today from LN-E!

I hear you. I got a full set of side sill covers complete with clips and screws leaned up in corner of the garage for at least three years. Every Spring I look at the car then the side sill covers and convince myself they don't look all that bad...5chn3ll wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 8:13 am Right on top of the pile.
