I drained the old oil and put the some 9 quarts of 0W40 oil in it and turned the car on Sunday and the meter is reading 3 bars low. Huh? Is there a reset procedure for this or what?

Oh, and the dip stick reads proper oil level.

Ah, well, now we know why you are having this issue.
Martin from Forscheland told me it was the right thing to do. I also parked my car on level pavement and covered the snorkel while filling it up with oil.

Glad to see others doing there own paint work on interior parts. I just did my console and horseshoe radio cover and love the way they turned out. Now to do the hard backs of my sport seats.

Great work! Looks like you're going to match the exterior paint of your car? How did the finish come out? I'm reluctant to go the glossy route for several reason... the primary reason is I wouldn't be happy with the results. Therefore, if I did it, I'd probably get a pro shop to paint it. But for me, I preferred the flat black look. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the mk1 996 cars and boxsters had flat black console and other interior bits. Seems like Porsche went with a uni-colored interiors on the Mk2. Just based on what I've seen over and over.

The finish turned out perfectly, as good as any professional body shop. Its all in the prep. I used the below products. It was important to get 5+ coats of clear so that you can wet-sand then rubbing and polishing compound without getting through the clear.
