Second thought, following the failed Jet Blue merge I'm hoping my airline still exists for the Outrun.

If you and Lady Frunkenstein want to meet up for dinner, it turns out that Mrs. S. and I are around all week. We can do this in a public place, as I'm aware that Lady F thinks that all of your Internet friends are murderers. And she's not entirely wrong. We can also do some dude thing without the ladies if that works more betterly. Whatever.

On an entirely unrelated note - If you need me, I'll be dumping a body in the Salton Sea for the rest of the day.

Well "as the old saying goes" (I'm making this up) two guys is a date and three guys is a meetup!

My tickets on Waffle House Airlines have not changed and so I'll be flying through the night and landing bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and looking for a hearty breakfast at 6:07 am on Friday Hey man, cheap tickets are cheap tickets.

So suffice to say I'll be around and available to meet as soon as you arrive in KC OR showing up inside of your law office impersonating a homeless man (Surprise!)

Alright, let's do this: take an Uber to my house (I'll text you the address), and you can take one of the hooptie fleet from there. I will be in a seminar all day Friday, but this way you'll have wheels. Then, we can meet up on the Plaza on Friday evening. Hopefully 02tx can chime in with an expected ETA in Kansas City. I'll make us some reservations at a restaurant on The Plaza once we know what time 02tx plans to arrive in KC.

After-action report for those interested: my drive from North Texas to KC and back, as well as the weekend in KC, were devoid of really bad weather. I saw plenty of nasty weather in the distance on the way up on Friday (I was an hour or two behind it the whole way), and I saw the aftermath of it on Sunday (significant flooding in Kansas, especially around Fort Scott) and today (tornado damage along I-35 in Marietta, Oklahoma which included redistribution of the contents of a Dollar Tree warehouse). Frunky even arranged for the significant rain in KC to hold off until we were sheltered safely within the Underground, surrounded by tasty nibbles, an open bar, and lots of very interesting cars...and a rather suspicious wedge-shaped car hidden under a lime-green car cover!

I had a great time. Frunky, thank you for sharing so much of your time and the greater KC area with us. I hope to make it back up the next time the Kansas City Auto Museum puts another shindig on!

Only thing I didn't mention is I received 2 compliments while driving Frunky's Turbro.

Did my best to promote KC Auto Museum as a tourist whenever anybody asked me what I was doing. I found a few car people along the way so I hope they follow up on their intent to visit!
