My worst coolant leak was at ~150MPH in 5th - it was blasting around the water pump shaft sufficiently that I could see a vapor trail in the mirrors.

Try wiggling your shaft. Heh. But seriously...make sure there's no play in your water pump shaft.

It turns out that redlining your 996 in 5th gear is kind of hard on shit. Who knew?

I freely admit that I was too much of a wuss to try to catch 6th gear and move past the 150s.

Is it safe to assume you will print a copy of the above and put it in your file of maintenance records?

It's always been my goal to leave absolutely nothing for "the next guy" - unless the next guy is the tow truck operator who pulls the charred remains out of the ditch. :D

Also, what are "maintenance records?" The only records I've got are recorded here...

I had forgotten about your end of life vision and your record storage "device" probably needs you to buy more storage for a small fee...monthly.
