If you can't see belting, you're still good.

I asked for a discount at Discount since the kid checking the car out didn't need to spend time measuring tread depth.

Heck those make my rears look like new and I was planning on replacing them in a few weeks... no rush I guess

I'm pretty stoked with the even wear.

Yes, the wear is perfect. Perfectly complete!

Is that a hooked X in the tire? If so, those tires were made by the Knights Templar.

Really nice wear! Stock suspension?

Nope - previous owner included the suspension in his quest to spend as much money as possible on a 996. Near as I can tell, he spent $15-20K transmogrifying his '99 C4 into a GT3. Every once in a while I find yet another hidden upgrade, like the Turbo Mike (now IPD) plenum I found while replacing the starter.

All of that work, and he didn't change ANYTHING in the interior. 100% stock. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck tracking down the P.O. - I'd send him a fruit basket. Or a gift certificate for his hooker of choice.
