I just ordered an ebay alternator last night. $84.00 new, since I don't care about the internals and only need the back casing. I just hope at that price that it isn't made of pot metal. With any luck I'll have it all back together by the weekend.

Paying $120 for the 997 alternator mounting ear (and coolant plate) from DC Automotive in Rocky Mount, NC

$56 for the oil fill tube, $20 something for a new belt..

I just spent a good chunk at Pelican for all new oxygen sensors, and the 3 new tensioners.. wifey is getting a little antsy. This is first car in like ever that I have actually not paid cash for and have a monthly note.. I have the title free and clear, but took a loan to buy it with unsecured. Lets just say I'm motivated to keep it on the road.

I appreciate all the advice and help guys.

Hang in there - it's not like a Fiat or an MG where it will ALWAYS be this much work.
