Go to the first post in this thread & follow the link to RL. The OP of that thread is (I’m assuming) the guy who sold the car to Doc Strangelove.

Car looks to be in pretty nice shape ... I imagine it’ll need engine tear down to determine just what’s wrong internally? Jake made it sound as though he expected bore scoring caused by fuel wash.

KoB is correct, however, the car is already on 3.6 Nickies so if there's bore scoring then the information I received in his class needs to be revised.

Here's a re-post of the link for you guys: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/1 ... oller.html

Looks like an awesome project Strangelove!

I'm kind of a tool whore. Would you mind sharing any specialty tools or out of the ordinary stuff you guys end up using for the rebuild?

 You and I, sir, are going to have a roller race. (I suspect you're well ahead of me, though.)
Yah maybe, but I'm out in the middle of the ocean and on my own! Can't wait to hear what you discover on that one. This will be fun!!

Which island are you on Bill? I was born on Oahu, and left for college when I was 18. I usually fly back a few times a year; would be cool to possibly give you a hand if the timing is right!

The post convinced me to order Driven Injector Defender. I'm easily influenced by comments from LNE and FSI.

Wonder if this stuff is effective after the guns have been in for a while or if it needs to be used from install? Info on website does not specify.
