My advice would be to pass. If your six sense is telling you that something is off and the deal is just painful to close... Walk away.

Naw, I'd prefer to be correct. 99% of people also say "Porsh". :D

Besides, it's the only way I'll ever be a "one-percenter"!

BTW, how the hell do you find such great deals? I'm amazed at the price you paid for your last 997 and now this one seems like a smoking deal to me as well. If I didn't have a real estate refinance looming, I'd buy it just to flip it (providing you passed on it first).

This one sort of fell in my lap from a friend who lives in Bay area. His co-worker is selling.
But I do have a lot of spare time since I'm basically retired and if you annoy sellers often enough, they sometimes cave in.

Unfortunately my having to take my wife on this buying trip created drama regarding scheduling/etc. - Our daughter graduates next week and my boat is scheduled to be hauled out for bottom paint/zincs and name change next week as well but I was going to re-schedule.

I did purchase another pair of one-way tickets yesterday, went back and forth with seller later in the evening, he was firm at $31.5K so I said fuck it and told him I'd pay that but needed to figure out schedule, discussed the trip with wife, she frustrated me and I cancelled tickets this morning and backed out of deal for a 2nd time.

I told seller I'll maybe buy it in a couple of weeks when my schedule opens up and if car is available.

Maybe the seller will think I'm psychotic and just agree to give me the car if I don't hurt him or he might just donate it so he doesn't have to deal with me....I'll keep you posted 8-)

*Here are a couple of photos of the car before it was lowered and rear wing removed by current owner

Sounds like you're conducting retired guy psyops on the seller :D. In fairness, he did lower the price a bunch and is willing to sell at a competitive price.

GL with the search. Widebody Carreras never go out of style.

Poor bastard is way upside down, probably works 90 hours a week, and now he has to deal with this guy who has nothing but time to F with him.

I predict that Groove ends up buying this car for lunch money. Either way, this saga rivals one of Kalash’s best for entertainment value.

Twice over the weekend I thought about PM’n Groov to get this guy’s number. Who knows, maybe he’d trade for mine? There are people out that love glue as much as my previous owners! 😂

Hmm, I wonder if he'd trade for either a sweet A8L or 928S4?
