New guy here, just wanted to say hello. Sweet little informative forum!
I happened to be digging into the dreaded bore scoring issue to educate myself and it lead me in this direction as I went down the rabbit hole. I've watched FSI's series and learned quite a bit. Luckily, I am not dealing with it at this time and was curious about prevention. Saying I'm still concerned would be an understatement and I'm currently debating selling my C4S. I knew I should've sprung for the Turbo.

Welcome! Glad you found us. I too have a C4S but a 2005 and have suffered the dreaded bore scoring syndrome. I was lucky enough to get Jake to build me a smooth powerful engine that always brings smiles. Jake's bore scoring series has some good hints for living with bore scoring if necessary.
