Or you can get a WiFi (for iPhone) or Bluetooth (Android) ODBII reader and use an app like DashCommand to display the speed (real speed, not adjusted) in a cool way.

Is the place where I complain that the analog speedo is absolutely useless (at least in the MK1). I never ever even look at it, and even if I did it is not readily apparent how fast I am going if I am going faster then one of the milestone marks (50, 60, etc.).
Waste of space, is my point. Oil temp would be better in that spot, maybe.

I couldn't agree more!
