It's all good. I know without a shadow of doubt Jake will follow through on his word. Regardless of the outcome, I'll have an expert opinion on what the next step will be for my car in it's current condition. And, as a bonus, I'll be able to offer my technical talents to a man that has truly given back so much to the Porsche community.

Oh btw... that's actually happened with my wife. She comes out to check on me from time to time. Sometimes, I'm just sitting in the car gathering my thoughts. There's never a dull moment as a 996 owner.

He wasn't going to stay undercover for long. Too much knowledge and that's hard to hide!

On the car: it is what it is(and I hate that line) but it is really true. I'm excited about the future improvement!

Yeah it was a few years ago on Rennlist (dammit). Other than that the guy was a Doctor I forget the specifics of the problem, but basically Jake diagnosed the problem and kept telling him what to do and they guy pretty much always did the opposite. Jake was flying out to teach a class with Tony and offered for the guy to bring his car in and they'd use it as the model for the class. Dip shit totally spaced and disappeared

Ah, guess he got scared what the Marine might find wrong with his Porsche? Terminal? Or, maybe he was fearful that it would cost him a lot of money even though Jake offered to use it as a lab rat. Doesn't surprise it was a doctor, they get scared too when their own diagnosis is not good.

Wow, I can't believe I missed reading that thread. Talk about twists and turns. Martin seems to really lash out hard laced with personal insults to anyone that questions his motives. Him and Anges are still in business down in Florida.
