Getting closer to being done . . . They said there is a spot on the hood that they want to fix, but it will definitely be ready before the August 8th "Oddballs & Oddities" show at the auto museum.

THAT LOOKS GREAT! Now I understand why the bumpers on the 914 don't bother you so much.

Yeah, you could hack half of that front bumper off and it would still stick out too much.

Looks great! For the bumper, it is very Countach-ish, it's fine. Then I like the 74+ BMW 2002s over the roundies.

The bumper definitely blended in more with the flat black color that it previously had.
I don't hate the bumpers with the green though. They kinda add a nice balance against the green being too much.

Well, I picked it up today. Overall, I'm very pleased. The total cost for the color chage was $4,000. That's a bargain by any measure (the other quote I got was for $7,500). But, there is quite a bit of overspray that I need to clean up. It's not solid overspray - just little droplets on things like the black mesh grill in front of the driver's windshield wiper. And it needs a good detail. Also, it is now obvious that it needs new seat covers, and there is some overspray on the seats. But I have a good shop for that.

That is super cool. Best looking X 1/9 in Kansas I’m sure!

I agree with Battery Guy that color is perfect for that car.
