All kidding aside, I’ve put thirty some thousand odd miles on my 99 in the last year and a half. And each time she has started up (aside from when my coil packs decided to crap out). My car has gone through rain storms, snow storms, freezing rain, hotter than Satan’s butthole heat, on the track, etc, and she still lives (knock on wood). And horror of horrors, it has the original IMS bearing still there.

I'm in the same position with my 99' cab.... I think. I bought it used years ago with no records. It was a roll of the dice that I've not regretted once, nor have I gone into IMSB-phobia mode after reading the occasional horror stories on teh Internet forums. 114k miles on it now, and I don't baby it when I drive it.
