If this is real it just proves the whole Tesla design group and Elon are smoking way too much dope...again!

Apparently, its real! The unveiling was the usual weirdness, where Musk tried to prove the windows were unbreakable and broke them. I'm not sure how many people are traditional truck buyers who also like Robocop. Points for thinking outside the box, I guess.

Robocop! I knew I had seen this design before.

It looks like a truck from Tango and Cash had sex with a DeLorean and this is the baby.

I actually love the look. Looks dope, and very 1980s.

Other than the rampant loose sexual activities in the early 80's that decade wasn't all that great. With the exception of a couple of Ferraris, a Lambo and one Porsche neither were vehicle designs.

I was too young for all the good sex :(

Don't forget the e30 and the M3. Those came from the 80s too. BMW has been downhill since...

I will disagree on that. Everything was better in the 1980s. Movies, music, hair, women, and cars.

Most of the iconic cars and brand halo cars were released or designed in the 1980s. E30 BMW, e28 M5, early e34s, w201 Mercedes, w126 Mercedes, audi quattro, group B rally cars, dakar pajeros, NSX was designed...

Someone managed to make something look shittier than a DeLorean out of stainless. That's impressive.

It's a better truck than a Ford F-150 and a better sports car than a Porsche 911, per Elon. Not sure if that was before or after he took one too many rips off his Tesla Electric Bong.

Gonna have to differ. The 80's was the era of untrimmed bush, AquaNet, and oil-embargo-inspired automotive performance. I graduated in '88 - and I'll take the aughts, thanks...there was nothing glamorous about waiting 12 seconds to hit 60 miles an hour while hocking pubes out of one's throat.

My hair was better, though.
