Frunky, do you have dates for Vegas yet? I'm scheduling some shop time and wheel work on the 996; want to make sure it's ready for a desert run.

Those drive shafts aren't going to run over themselves.

I just got a text from my son, awag, yesterday that VW Headquarters will be WFH until after Labor Day. So, his timeline for buying a car (and my Vegas trip) may be pushed back to July or August.

Why would that delay the trip? The beauty of WFH is that you get to define what home is

Well, he had a company car when they shut the office down back in March. It was sitting outside his townhouse (about 1 mile due north of the Capitol in DC). Saturday night, it got the crap shot out of it. So, I think he's glad that wasn't his car. Plus, that gives him another 3 months to save up and not have to pay for car insurance. And, waiting until late August puts him into a model year newer (2018 versus 2017).

Ouch. Glad he is OK.

It's not hip and happening for new ex-kids, but the burbs have the advantage of not seeing that stuff (yet?).

Thanks. He seemed to take it in stride.
