Hello Porsche Friends
All,
KC Attorney mentioned the new forum and happy to join.
Long time Porsche owner and I hold the USA record for C4S ownership - 3 different C4S's in 3 consecutive years. GNAT will attest.
Sold my last C4S to purchase my new boat last year. The boss(my wife)had enough of me buying this and that whenever I wanted to and finally put her foot down so the C4S had to go.
I began tossing and turning in bed a few months ago and shouting different Porsche models during the night - Screaming like a maniac/yelling/etc - It got so bad that my wife folded and said it would be ok to buy a car.
So in December I purchased a 2005 997 S - 6 speed, Atlas grey w/full black leather - 62K miles - I love the car and it was really well serviced - Had a minor boo boo in 2007 and front bumper resprayed which unfortunately is on carfax. Paintwork done right and match is perfect.
All the best to everyone!

Re: Hello Porsche Friends
You say they were different, but they all looked the same
You've had the 997 2 months now, up for sale by March?
Welcome Groove, glad you found us.

Welcome Groove! Good to see you found "us". Seems like we have started a collection on 997 owners here which is a good thing.

Good to see you over here and nice 997!
Is it a early '05 with the 996 style IMS bearing? If so then you truly do belong on the 996 board!

Welcome! Beautiful car, despite the odd shaped headlights.

Re: Hello Porsche Friends
Appreciate the warm welcome! Not much of a difference in the ride 996 vs 997.
Always loved the 996 C4S body style - I do like the newer round headlights and curvature of the 997 - I drove 997 C4S and compared to the narrow body and I preferred the narrow bodied - More nimble.

Re: Hello Porsche Friends
Welcome aboard Captain Groov. I like you're new ride. Stay content... trust me, it's been 9 months since I sold mine, and it's been rough without one in the garage. Like you, nothing would satisfy the itch. As of this week, I'm also bad on the saddle. Yay me. But good to see you in Outpost country!
