The unwanted emails are part of my M96 owner tracking program - gotta keep tabs on you guys in case my engine blows.

In seriousness - that sounds like a phpBB bug...I'll dig around and see if that's the case. There's an update waiting to be applied...if it is a bug, it might even be fixed.

Over the past couple of days, I have tried unsubscribing to a topic. Still got nofifications

Then I subscribed to it again. Got more notifications

Unsubscribed again - and - yes, the notifications are still coming.

The easy thing is just to delete the email notices if I don't want to read them.

Reminds me of Hotel California - you can unsubscribe any time you like; but you can never leave. :shock:

Sorry this took so long. Even though I created the topic, I didn't get any notifications of replies.

Step One: This is what I see when I click the little tool icon:

Step Two: After un-checking the subscribe box as shown above, I got this:

AND...there was a banner that popped up and then went away before I could snip it that said "you are unsubscribed from this topic" SO, I did not check the 'unsubscribe' box, thinking that I had, in fact, unsubscribed.

Some time ago [months] I did something and it asked if I wanted to "unsubscribe from this forum?" Must have been operator error.

SO, even though the unsubscribe box is now showing un-checked, I closed out - so we'll see if any other notifications for this one come through.

I'm not sure what you're seeing. When I use the subscribe/unsubscribe links in the tools menu below any topic, it works as expected.

This is the control I'm using to unsubscribe:

I was going to unsubscribe to a certain topic, but the verbiage made it sound like I would be unsubscribing from the entire forum. Am I just reading it wrong?
