Re: Oil Level Indicator on the Dash is reading LOW after Oil change
Glad to see others doing there own paint work on interior parts. I just did my console and horseshoe radio cover and love the way they turned out. Now to do the hard backs of my sport seats. Great work! Looks like you're going to match the exterior paint of your car? How did the finish come out? I'...

Lets hope so, hate to think they went 3 years on the same oil. This spread sheet was based on receipts that came with the car.

Re: Oil Level Indicator on the Dash is reading LOW after Oil change
Thanks guys! I appreciate your advice on this matter. I put in 9 quarts and so I figured it would be good, but I haven't taking the car out because I have the console out for painting. Hopefully, I'll have everything reinstalled and I can take it out for a drive. Glad to see others doing there own ...

Re: Oil Level Indicator on the Dash is reading LOW after Oil change
My electronic level gauge reads 2 bars low when the stick reads level. I do not fill above the 2 bars low in fear of overfilling. Typically I loose approx 2 bars (or less) between my 3k mile oil change so I do not add oil between changes. "is there a way to re-calibrate the digital gauge??"

Thanks b3freak, I had not seen that one. This is what I used when checking my last wheel purchase.

My Other Passions
Although I love working and driving my 996, my other passions are older 4x4 trucks. My last rebuild was a 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser where I did a complete performance upgrade including installing a Chevy 350 (that I built with my son so as to show him how an engine works) that puts out over 350 hp an...

Was going to do a pad replacement when doing my next oil change. What is the spec rotor thickness?
