Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

You picked one of the two shittiest weekend in decades to visit. I'm not exaggerating - last time it rained this hard (2010), my house flooded. My place in the mountains is currently flooding. There's gonna be mud to shovel next weekend. There was about a foot of snow on the ground yesterday - about...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

For the record, only my 996 is famous. I'm infamous-only up in here, yo.

Also, weren't you already featured in Witness? Something about your Jeep getting stuck? :D

Yeah, although the magazine has been getting thinner and thinner. Contributing some additional writing has been on my to-do list, but it hasn't made it to the top yet.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

As long as the car is running properly and you have not modified anything emissions-related, you're fine...as long as it's a late-model car. Older cars - like mine - are becoming a REAL problem. Anything pre-2000 has to be tested on different equipment than newer vehicles, and it turns out that most...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Oh, we have LOADS of laws. Window tint, mud flaps, min/max light height, decibels, light bulb colors...but nothing gets tested except emissions. Ridiculous but I don't mind.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

The irony - if there is ANYTHING truly ironic anymore - is that California doesn't bother with anything EXCEPT emissions, even though all vehicles are required to be inspected every two years after the initial 5-year new vehicle exemption. Go figger. Cathing up: Love the EJECT buttons. Regarding sta...

Re: 996 Outpost Tomfoolery at CFOS in March

No, I was hoping to keep it in proper working order, including the sliders, since it isn't mine. Ideally, someone will need to keep an eye out for DTM during setup and breakdown...
