Re: Spoiler Rises When I Start The Engine

The battery was replaced about 6 months ago so I doubt that is the problem. If the problem continues I'll have the shop look at it next time it goes in for servicing. As I said earlier it is not happening very often and it will lower when I shut the key off. It is a 20 year old vehicle and is expect...

Spoiler Rises When I Start The Engine

On a few occasions the spoiler will rise when I start the engine. Maybe my 996 is telling me that I am a wuss and drive too slow ?
If I turn it off the spoiler lowers.

Re: Silly Question-- Can you help ?

I've been bashed by both the frunk and the deck lid. I guess that's why I ask silly questions.

Silly Question-- Can you help ?

Yesterday I was checking the oil level in my 996. I noticed there is only one gas strut holding my lid up, on the right side. Is this normal or am I missing a gas strut on the left side ?

But seriously when I voted with my wallet I bought a coupe. I feel like the "classic" 911 lines are most clearly defined with the coupe.
My thoughts exactly, in fact I am looking !

Another Poll- Coupe Or Cabriolet ?

I drive an 01 C4 Cab and really like the option of putting the top down when the sun is shining. I have a removable hard top as well but never use it as my 911 doesn't leave the garage in rain or snow.
Which is your preference -- coupe or cabriolet ?

I'm guessing coupe 10 to 1 .

Re: Poll - Do You Prefer A Manual or Tiptronic ?

I forgot to mention I am 70 years old with a bum left leg. ( I'm getting lazy too ) On the days when I feel sporty I'll put it in manual mode and shift my 911 through the buttons.

Poll - Do You Prefer A Manual or Tiptronic ?

I have an 01 C4Cab with tiptronic. I think my next 911 might be a manual. Which do you prefer ?

Bosch Oxygen Sensor

My CEL comes on every once in awhile then goes off the next day. Three weeks later it repeats the pattern. Yesterday I plugged in my code reader and got a P1117 oxygen sensor heating read out in the error code. I've gone on-line and see Bosch makes two sensors for my 01 C4 Cab, a # 15250 downstream ...
