Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I had someone coming over to pick up some old free furniture from our basement, so I had to clear out the garage. The 911 got moved to the neighbor's driveway, and then straight back into the garage cause it was getting late. SO, no drive, no warm up. I'm assessing myself 10 Raby Demerits for this ...

It's high class items like this that keep you from making the cut... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/fiat-8v-zagato-body-panels/ I love this quote from the listing: Cracking paint is peeling off the panels, exposing the metal surface beneath. Ya think??? I like the guys ...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I squeegeed some of the standing water out of the garage - past the 996's rear tires. Does that count? Fscking rain. Does it count? In a word And, you live in San Diego while the rest of us are staring down winter like Lynyrd Skynyrd on the dance floor with another man's woman staring down the barr...

Re: Daily Driving a Hooptie Fleet

Yeah, the Jaguar would have gotten about twice the MPG than the Durango. I have a feeling that one of the SUVs will be replaced by an XJL in the next year. I am going to keep my eyes open on the dealer auction run lists. One of my lessons learned on buying at the dealer auction is to "Take what the...

Although it is stupid, I took a little satisfaction from both of those auction results considering I offered to buy them for what I believe was more than they'll ever bring at auction. In the end, I'm better off with the Acadia and the Durango.
So gasoline must be cheap in Kansas...?

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I get pretty carried away with the whole 'warm up to operating temp' & short trip thing. Even when I take the 911 for a couple of errands, I'll drive for 15-20 minutes before stopping anywhere. M96 Paranoia. :) I use my new engine as an excuse to go for long drives cumulating in some "leg stretchin...

Re: That'll buff out - 958 edition

We rarely get knee deep snow ;) 6 months is about the average visit to his shop actually... I got those pictures from him after texting him something my 7yr old said: I think he accidentally sold it to someone and is trying to get it back. That is why it is taking so long. Then when I showed him th...
