Mrs. S's Jeep is in the shop waiting for its oil cooler replacement so my driveway might someday not look like the Exxon Valdez has been parking there. She needed a car yesterday, so I pulled the Corvette out for her and sent her on her way. Wait just a minute here mister! You mean to tell me, you ...

Re: Is the 996.1 going to become the new Bitcoin?
Yesterday a plain jane 92. C2 with 71k miles, sold for $93k. Today, a 93 928 GTS (automatic trans) with 91k miles, sold for $53.5k. Yes, they made more of the 996...but many of those have disappeared into age and neglect. And the 996 is the better car. I think the recent $55k for the 996 in a rare ...

Regarding radar detectors, the guys in the "know" I run with swear by the V1 without exception. Several of them have used other detectors previously, including Escorts (sometimes side-by-side with the V1). They use only V1s now. I also use a V1 and would buy another without hesitation; pe...

Re: Hood latch issue
FIXED! I took apart the hood latch to replace the micro switch. The white crescent rotates and turns off the light. All parts seem there, but the crescent was just a little stuck. So I lubed it up with silicone spray, and it worked fine. I put everything back and the frunk light works great. Lube i...

Don't worry... that MIL may not be present on the Mk1. I've never checked before. Both of my 996 were Mk2.OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 7:45 amThat's crazy. Sorry for the derail, but I think I have a minor wiring issue.

No cluster lights Can't identify related fuse to it on the map Frunk opens without issues. And power is going to the bulb per multimeter. First of all the obvious... check the bulb for continuity. Then, check Fuse C3. Check the bulb in the glove compartment. I believe the circuit is connected to th...
